A Beautiful Fall Day - The Enchantments, Washington - October, 2014

Although it doesn't look like it via this photo, the hike from this location where the photo was taken to the small hill on the very lefthand side of the photo in the background takes about 2 hours to reach hiking, and requires a 1500+ foot decent then a 1500+ foot ascent up the other side.

Tucked back behind the tress on the lefthand side is another beautiful lake which is much more blue then this one. There is a considerable amount of snow floating around in the other lake as well.

During early October when we visited the trees were just past their prime, but still extremely colorful. All of the needles on each of the trees easily fall off when brushing up against them due to how dry they are.

We spend 6 days in the Enchantments exploring, taking pictures, and doing all of the fun "outdoor chores" that go along with living in the wilderness. I can't imagine living even 100 years ago, and how much time and effort was spend doing things we have handed to us these days.
