Chasing Seasons - Los Glaciares National Park, Argentina
In March of 2015 I visited South America and the Andes Mountain Range for the first time in my life.
Already I'm planning to go back, but to different locations and for a longer period of time.
As I'd never been to this part of the world before, it was nice having over a month to explore, at a relaxed pace, in the middle of their autumn season.
Many of my days I'd set up camp and do long day hikes out of different regions that I thought were interesting.
This specific image was captured while walking through one of my favorite wooded areas in the park. I ended up coming back to this location a few different times to shoot during the trip.
Close to a large mountain ranges You'll find so many different landscapes. Depending on your location and elevation one side of a small mountain or hill might be completely different than the other side. One of my favorite pastimes while backpacking is seeing if I can guess what different landscapes will look like prior to visiting.
Utilizing off trail route finding I started to explore a few of these different "micro environments" and this one one of my favorites.
Thanks for Looking,
Dave
